Position: Clinical Review Clinician at Gaudenzia R.A.P. Program, Washington D.C.

Role Summary
The Clinical Review Clinician oversees the clinical review process for substance use disorder treatment authorizations. This role requires clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of utilization management to ensure quality care and compliance with guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise the clinical review team and conduct thorough reviews
* Maintain accurate records of authorization decisions
* Collaborate with healthcare providers, internal teams, and external stakeholders
* Stay updated with clinical guidelines and best practices
* Provide training and support to the clinical review team
* Ensure regulatory compliance
* Report to the Utilization Management Director
Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field with active DC clinical licensure (e.g., LICSW, LPC, LMFT, psychologist)
* At least 3 years of clinical practice in substance use disorder treatment
* At least 1 year of utilization review/management experience
* Knowledge of Managed Care, DC, and Comagine preferred
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
