Job title - Process Operative
Duration - Temporary 12 month contract
Start date - ASAP (subject to being medically and security cleared)
Shift patterns - 12.5 hour shifts (days&nights) or Double Days (7-3/3-11)
Pay rate - £19 - £25 per hour (PAYE) dependant on role/shift.
Location - Preston, Lancashire, North West
Job Description
The organisation works in a highly regulated environment. Therefore, training will be provided in all areas of work.
Responsible for the operation and set up of equipment and to make sure they are working in accordance with quality standards, SOPs and production schedules
Asset care for machinery
Detailed inspection operations
Material sampling and/or laboratory operations
Manual handling
Process monitoring
Escalating issues if there is an issue with a process or piece of equipmentEssential skills
Able to work to health and safety standards
Able to follow written and verbal procedures and ask questions if unsure
Experience of working to regulations and/or mandatory operating procedures
Experience working in a manufacturing/chemical environment or hands on environment
Operating auto and semi auto machinery
Worked in a team environment
Be able to wear full personal protective equipment
Required to undertake security clearance prior to starting, which includes a disclosure and barring service (DBS) check
Required to become a monitored worker under the ionising radiation regulationsDesirable skills
Experience working in a manufacturing/chemical environment or hands on environment
Operating auto and semi auto machinery
Worked in a team environment Additional information
