Are you a flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience in Early Years or Key Stage 1?
Long Term Futures are working with an outstanding school in the CV1 area who are looking for a committed Year 1 Teaching Assistant to provide both classroom support and tailored interventions.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping children adjust from Reception into Year 1 and who can bring patience, creativity, and a strong grasp of the curriculum to help pupils thrive.
Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons to Year 1 pupils.
* Provide targeted help through one-to-one and small group sessions.
* Deliver phonics, literacy, and numeracy support to boost progress.
* Encourage pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development in a caring manner.
* Adapt activities and resources to meet a range of learning needs.
* Contribute to creating an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working within EYFS or KS1 settings.
* A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is an advantage.
* Good understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
* Patient, adaptable, and supportive approach to working with children.
* Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs is desirable.
