At Pendennis, we are offering an exciting two+ year opportunity for an Environment and Sustainability Transformation Lead. Join our team to help drive sustainable practices in the superyacht industry.
Essential Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Sustainability, or equivalent.
2. Professional accreditation/certification in environmental management, or other relevant experience.
3. Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives including:
o Managing the development of Scope 1-3 greenhouse gas inventories.
o Developing and implementing company-wide ESG strategies.
o Supply chain engagement and scope 3 emissions reduction strategies.
4. Strong analytical skills for assessing environmental impacts and proposing improvements.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Project management abilities to oversee the implementation of sustainable practices.
7. In-depth understanding of UK and international environmental regulations and reporting.
Desirable Requirements:
1. Knowledge of superyacht construction processes and their environmental impact.
2. The ability to develop product-level lifecycle assessment studies.
As a key member of the management team, you will:
* Develop and lead Pendennis' sustainability strategy.
* Be confident in your ability to collaborate effectively and integrate sustainability into Pendennis processes.
* Be able to identify and implement innovative solutions for reducing the environmental footprint of superyacht construction.
* Be adaptable to evolving environmental policies and industry standards.
* Ensure adherence to environmental standards, regulations, and best practices in all shipyard activities.
* Have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving environmental challenges in the shipbuilding process.
* Be committed to advancing sustainable practices.
