SEND Primary Teacher – Specialist School
Location - Southampton
Pay - £160–£250 per day
Contact times- Full-time (08:30–15:30)

Supply Desk are seeking an SEND Primary Teacher to join a specialist school in the Southampton area. The school is entering an exciting phase of development, with a strong focus on meeting the needs of neurodiverse pupils—primarily those with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs).
With small class sizes (around 8 pupils), structured timetables to support SEMH needs, this is a unique opportunity to work in a nurturing and purposeful environment where every child can thrive.
The Role
* Teach a small class of children with additional needs (approx. 8 pupils).
* Deliver Maths, English, Phonics, alongside social and life skills.
* Support pupils in achieving personalised SEMH and academic targets.
* Full-time position, with the option of a permanent contract.
* Job share (3–4 days per week) will be considered.
Candidate Profile
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) required.
* Previous experience in SEND (essential).
* Strong knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
* Confident in behaviour and classroom management.
* Resilient, empathetic, and enthusiastic.
* Experience in targeted interventions (preferred).
