Our client is a specialist highways and civil engineering contractor delivering highway improvement, maintenance, and infrastructure schemes across the UK. They are recognised for their strong safety culture, high-quality delivery, and experience working within live highway and traffic-sensitive environments.
The Role
Site-based Project Manager required to deliver a highways improvement scheme in Kent. You’ll manage day-to-day site activities, programme, labour, subcontractors, and client interface on a live highway project.
Scope of Works
* Cycleway / footway reconstruction
* Carriageway construction & reconstruction
* Drainage, surfacing, street lighting
* Minor highway structures (retaining wall)
* Traffic management on 40mph dual carriageway & 30mph roads
* Mainly day works (07:30–17:00), with some night shifts possible
Responsibilities
* Daily site management
* Manage labour (up to 8 operatives) and subcontractors
* Programme management (Microsoft Project)
* RAMS preparation and updates
* Materials take-offs and ordering
* Chair client & senior management meetings
* Ensure H&S, quality, and TM compliance
Requirements
* Strong highways construction experience
* Proven site-based PM background
* SSSTS or SMSTS
* Microsoft Project experience
* UK Driving Licence
