We are seeking an ambitious sous chef to join us as we embark on an exciting new chapter at the Golden Lion Hotel, a landmark of hospitality in Stirling for over 200 years. Under new ownership, we are looking to expand our team with passionate culinary professionals who are eager to contribute to our journey. With 66 beautifully appointed bedrooms and a rich history of serving travelers, we take pride in delivering exceptional dining experiences that honor our legacy while embracing modern culinary innovation.
As Chef, You Will:
* Support Our Culinary Excellence: Assist in managing our kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to FHIS hygiene ratings.
* Champion Food Safety & Compliance: Implement HACCP protocols, aligning all food handling with Food Standards Scotland (FSS) regulations.
* Develop Seasonal Menus: Collaborate with our Head Chef to create inspiring, locally sourced menus that reflect the heritage and heart of Stirling.
* Mentor & Grow Talent: Train junior chefs, fostering a team culture rooted in learning, creativity, and excellence.
* Optimize Stock & Costs: Manage inventory, supplier relationships, and efficient sourcing practices while reducing waste.
