Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Oncology The Chiltern Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £54,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification) The Chiltern Hospital in Great Missenden is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy department. Previous oncology experience is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from pharmacists with a strong clinical background who are enthusiastic to develop their skills in oncology. Comprehensive training and mentorship will be provided by our experienced team, ensuring full support as you transition into this specialist role. This is a great opportunity to build a rewarding career in oncology pharmacy within a supportive and forward-thinking hospital environment. This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Duties of this role include: Provide expert clinical pharmacy input as part of the multidisciplinary team, conducting medicines reconciliation, clinical screening, and therapeutic drug monitoring. Optimise medicines use through evidence-based interventions, ensuring the safe and effective management of long-term and acute conditions. Support prescribing decisions through clinical assessment, risk evaluation, and formulary guidance. Lead on implementation of medicines optimisation strategies, ensuring prescribing is cost-effective, safe, and aligned with national/local guidelines. Contribute to the development and review of clinical guidelines, protocols, and policies. Monitor and report on medicines usage, compliance, and safety incidents, participating in root cause analysis and quality improvement. Applicants should meet the following criteria: GPhC-registered Pharmacist. Significant post-registration experience in clinical pharmacy, preferably in a hospital setting. Strong clinical knowledge and experience in medicines optimisation. Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills. Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff.
