We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join our dynamic educational team in Shrewsbury. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for physical education and sports and will be dedicated to encouraging students at KS3 to KS5 to stay active, healthy, and engaged in physical activity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and the development of physical skills.
* Teach a range of physical activities, from traditional sports to fitness, health, and well-being topics, to students at KS3 and KS5.
* Develop a curriculum that meets national standards and fosters a love of physical activity in all students.
* Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback on improvement.
* Create an inclusive and motivating environment in which students feel encouraged to push their boundaries.
* Collaborate with colleagues in the PE Department to organize extracurricular sports events, teams, and activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
* A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
* Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS5 level.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate students through physical activity.
