Lab Technician – Molecular Biology (London, Onsite)
This is a night shift role (04:00-12:00)
I'm working with a very exciting, fast growing and innovative biotech client. Specifically a London based biotech that are expanding their team hiring a Lab Technician to help run routine sample preparation and analytical workflows in a high-throughput laboratory. This role is hands-on and best suited to someone with real laboratory experience and strong operational discipline.
As this is a late/early shift role, you will need to have existing experience working within a lab environment independently.
What you’ll do
* Prepare, process, and troubleshoot biological samples for DNA-based analysis.
* Operate liquid-handling and core molecular biology equipment.
* Perform routine QC, review data, and support accurate result delivery.
* Maintain lab documentation, inventory, and safety standards.
* Contribute to continuous improvement in workflows and operations.
You must have
* A degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a similar field.
* Hands-on experience with molecular techniques (e.g., DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing workflows, assay prep, or similar).
* Experience working in a biotech, academic research lab, or diagnostic lab.
* Strong communication skills, demonstrated through teamwork, customer-facing work, or cross-functional collaboration.

* Detail-oriented, organised, and reliable in a lab setting.
* Curious, proactive, and comfortable speaking up to troubleshoot issues.
* Able to work independently during focused tasks and collaboratively in a small team.
Physical requirements
* Able to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks (pipetting).
* Able to lift and move lab consumables as required.

* Full-time onsite role (London)
