Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned Hospital looking for a Lead Veterinary Nurse to join their clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RVN with leadership skills to play a vital role in developing clinical standards and shaping team performance in a busy and progressive hospital setting.
Working Hours / Rota
The role is full-time at 37.5 hours per week and includes a 1 in 5 weekend rota.
Role Description
The Lead Nurse will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager to support and guide the nursing team, focusing on developing practice protocols and ensuring exceptional patient care. They will oversee daily patient flow, streamline the admission-to-discharge process, and ensure adherence to both practice and group policies. The role includes responsibility for leading a specific area within the hospital and helping to identify and meet training needs across the nursing team.
Team Size
This hospital operates with a team of experienced Lead Nurses, working alongside the Clinical Nurse Manager and a wider clinical team.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RVN with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience and proven leadership capabilities. They should be highly organised, an excellent communicator, and confident in working independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
