Job Description
We are partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business that is seeking a Production Planner & Controller to join their operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional to play a key role in driving production performance, inventory optimisation, and on‑time delivery across a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Working closely with production, engineering, procurement, and customer‑facing teams, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient scheduling and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
* Develop and manage production schedules to ensure customer demand and operational targets are met
* Monitor inventory levels and material availability, working closely with procurement to minimise shortages and delays
* Analyse forecasts, customer orders, and capacity requirements to optimise production planning
* Track production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency
* Act as a key liaison between production, supply chain, engineering, and customer‑facing teams to ensure clear communication and on‑time delivery
Qualifications
* Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations within an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, inventory management, and production planning processes
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret operational data
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organisational skills with a continuous improvement mindset
