Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experiential Learning Administrator to join the Experiential Learning Team, within our Business Engagement Directorate.
Business Engagement is dedicated to supporting students to gain the skills and confidence they need to enter the graduate labour market. A key part of this is to assist students in obtaining some form of work experience during their time at Leeds Beckett.
This role involves supporting the wider work of the team and working with students to secure high quality experiential learning opportunities, with a particular focus on placements. The post-holder would also be expected to engage with a range of events and activities across the service including providing information and advice from our Careers Centre.
You will provide a high level of administrative support, including dealing with enquiries from students, employers and colleagues across the university; preparing and maintaining relevant documentation, including student handbooks; recording and monitoring experiential learning activity within our placement related systems; and supporting the promotion of experiential learning to students, colleagues and employers via our newsletter and presentations.
A flexible, customer focused, collaborative approach is key, as are excellent IT and communication skills. Due to the varied nature of this role, the ability to plan your own workload and respond to changing priorities is vital. An understanding of placements and experiential learning within a higher education setting is important and an awareness of the role that experiential learning plays in graduate employability prospects would be an advantage.
