An opportunity has arisen for 3 highly motivated, dynamic nurses with excellent organisational skills to become active members of the Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team, working across 4 hospital sites.
Responsibilities include participating in the provision of high‑quality care to suspected skin cancer patients, as well as new and follow‑up patients diagnosed with skin cancer and their families, through surgical, oncology and palliative treatments.
In addition, the successful candidates will join the newly created teledermatology team, supporting consultant dermatologists. Duties include nurse‑led diagnosis and consenting telephone clinics, results clinics, supervised face‑to‑face suspected skin cancer clinics, and undertaking surgical procedures once trained.
The role also involves supporting the Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Modern Matron to manage the skin cancer nursing team and actively participating with all aspects of the multidisciplinary team, adapting the service as required and supporting service development to ensure a world‑class service for patients and the team.
