The Engineer Sr Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and development of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned frameworks.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of the platform & services provisioning automation framework.
2. Build dynamic and responsive user interfaces using Angular, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
3. Develop scalable and secure back-end microservices using Spring Boot, with a strong focus on RESTful API development and integration.
4. Design and manage database schemas and queries in MongoDB, optimizing for performance and data integrity.
5. Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for the framework, providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
6. Lead requirements gathering discussions with business stakeholders and product owners to translate business needs into technical specifications.
7. Coordinate with the QA team to ensure rigorous testing and quality assurance throughout the development process.
8. Timely analyze and troubleshoot user issues and incidents as a development SME, providing root cause analysis and implementing effective resolutions.
9. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and security standards.
10. Proactively identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks within the application.
11. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the framework's architecture, design, and performance.
12. Work within an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
13. Maintain and create technical documentation, including API contracts, design documents, and support runbooks.
Qualifications:
14. 7+ years of experience in Java full stack software development, with a focus on enterprise-level applications.
15. Proven experience developing and deploying applications using the specified technology stack (Spring Boot, Angular, MongoDB).
16. Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in the financial services or banking industry.
17. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Maven/Gradle).
18. Backend: Expert proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
19. Frontend: Strong expertise in Angular (version 2+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
20. Database: Hands-on experience with MongoDB, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
21. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and version control systems (Git).
22. Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
23. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
24. Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
25. Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
26. Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
27. Ability to work independently, prioritize, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
28. Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
