Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals.
* Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations.
* Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary for repairs.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.
* Conduct equipment repair to ensure all tools and machinery are in good working condition.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's needs and repair options.
* Assist in heavy lifting when required during the repair process.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various automotive systems.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics related to automotive systems.
* Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards clients.
* Willingness to engage in heavy lifting as part of the role when necessary.
* We have a higher budget for MOT testers.
