Role : Project Engineer - Maintenance Location : Head Office, Andover Salary : available on request Shenton Group is on the lookout for a motivated and talented Project Engineer to join our team! What’s the role? As a Project Engineer, you will be required to provide and deliver a consistently high technical and professional level of service to our customers while acting as an ambassador of the Shenton Group brand. You will attend sites as the Principal Engineer and be responsible for all equipment testing ensuring it functions as per company regulations. You will possess a thorough understanding of manufacturing and product use, and therefore need a focus on quality with strong attention to detail. You’ll travel around the UK in your company vehicle completing upgrades and installations, fault finding and completing site surveys. You will manage and complete works for the Maintenance Projects team which may involve overnight stays, so a flexible approach to working patterns is required. This role is a fantastic balance of working with both Project Manager and Technical Engineers to enable you to fulfil your role. You will be part of our wider technical support team that supports both internal colleagues and external customers with a can-do approach. What do you need? You need to have a keen attitude and take a positive proactive approach to engaging with your role and your colleagues. You need to be able to collaborate and take responsibility for tasks including seeking opportunities to improve. You should have a solid mechanical background of working on a variety of engines, controllers and models of generators, and hold relevant qualifications to support this. Strong practical knowledge of LV power generation and distribution systems is essential, as is a practical knowledge of high-level software-based control systems such as Comap/Deep Sea etc. You should have experience in multi set and synch with mains controls. Decent IT skills with Outlook, Excel, & Word, including practical experience of using laptop based bespoke engine system analysis and control programmes such as Comap PC Suite / DSE Configuration Suite, is also essential.
