Make a real impact across a diverse, operational region
Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment? Do you enjoy building trusted relationships, owning complex ER cases, and helping managers grow in confidence?
We're looking for a Regional HR Advisor to join our People Experience team, supporting 13 operational sites across Scotland and the North of England. This is a highly visible, influential role where you'll act as a trusted Employee Relations specialist and partner to leaders, helping shape a fair, consistent, and engaging colleague experience.
This is a hybrid role, typically involving around two days per week on site, with the remainder working remotely. A company vehicle is provided to support regional travel.
What you'll be doing
* Providing expert, pragmatic HR advice across a broad range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, and performance cases
* Owning ER casework end-to-end, proactively managing complex and sensitive issues while coaching managers to handle matters confidently and consistently
* Acting as a trusted ER specialist and advisor, building capability and confidence across management teams
* Supporting the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and development through to exits, with a strong focus on colleague experience and engagement
* Partnering closely with operational leaders across multiple sites, building strong, trust-based relationships
* Using ER data and insight to identify trends, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement
* Ensuring compliance with UK employment law and internal policies, balancing legal rigour with a commercial, people-focused approach
* Managing HR administration accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Contributing to wider HR initiatives and projects, bringing ideas and a continuous improvement mindset
What you'll bring
* Proven experience in an HR Advisor role with significant employee relations and case management responsibility
* Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law, with hands-on experience managing cases end-to-end
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise and challenge at all levels
* Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex cases across a wide geographical area
* Confidence using HR systems and technology (we use Workday, PageUp, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint)
* A commercial, data-driven mindset
* A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the region (essential)
* Experience in logistics, distribution, or another operational environment would be advantageous
