A valuable opportunity to join a leading water management company that offers professional water treatment and water hygiene services across the UK. We are recruiting a tenacious and commercially focused Water Treatment Sales/Account Manager based in and around the Manchester area. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing and developing new and existing steam boiler, closed system and cooling tower accounts, and a strong technical knowledge of the water treatment industry. Applications from Bolton, Rochdale, Stockport, Oldham and the surrounding areas will be considered.
Qualifications & Experience
* Good educational background in management, accounts, sales or business development.
* Working knowledge of the water treatment industry.
* Experience managing a varied portfolio of cooling tower, steam boiler and closed system accounts.
* Previous experience in a water treatment sales role (essential).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Competence with Microsoft Office.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a portfolio of water treatment accounts, including Cooling Towers, Steam Boilers and Closed Systems.
* Incorporate analysis of water treatment processes, ensuring programmes are compliant with current guidelines and fit for purpose.
* Secure, manage and develop key accounts from the existing customer base, cross‑selling services while maintaining current ones.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and manage staff.
* Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators.
* Prepare tenders and quotations.
* Meet targets and achieve sales goals.
* De‑escalate issues and resolve them effectively.
* Attend meetings as required.
Overall, the successful candidate will be commercially focused, astute, possess strong communication skills and be flexible with regard to travelling.
