You will ideally be an experienced Housing Officer. We would prefer experience of using Orchard (MRI Enterprise).
This role will not have line management responsibilities but they will be required to support/offer advice and guidance to Assistant Housing Officers.
Deliver comprehensive tenancy services across a defined neighbourhood in line with legal and policy requirements. Manage complex housing issues, customer complaints, and tenancy disputes through collaborative working with internal teams and external agencies. Enforce tenancy conditions, particularly around anti-social behaviour, and initiate legal action when required. Conduct tenancy audits. Maintain a proactive approach to tenancy sustainability and community wellbeing.
Respond to emergencies, assist with void management, and provide cover across housing services as needed.
Promote access to welfare benefits, report suspected fraud, and manage service capacity, anticipating external impacts on housing provision.
Support Residents Groups, attend meetings, and lead environmental improvement projects to enhance neighbourhoods.
Build strong relationships with statutory and non-statutory services, coordinate multi-agency meetings, and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
Manage Assistant Housing Officers including carrying out one-to-one meetings, performance appraisals, and training. Lead and support your team in alignment with the vision and corporate objectives, fostering collaboration through regular communication, performance management, and cross-service engagement. Act as a visible ambassador for the Client and promote a unified, purpose-driven culture.
Promote client services, advise customers on policies, contribute to service reviews, maintain confidentiality, monitor budgets, and report on neighbourhood issues as required.
This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
