The Vacancy
As a Engineering FLM at DLR you will be managing the maintenance function ensuring that equipment, services and factory buildings are maintained in a safe and efficient manner. You will ensure that a continuous improvement culture is applied to drive the performance of our maintenance function. You will maximise uptime of all assets, ensuring all works are planned with the least impact to operations. You will mentor and coach the maintenance team, addressing gaps in training and capability, you will also ensure all operational hours are covered with maintenance engineers to enable smooth running of the factory.
The Vacancy

Key Accountabilities Required
* To always act and behave in a way compliant with all De La Rue company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environmental Health and Safety, Security Ethics and Code of Business Principles.
* To identify, implement and manage projects including the introduction of new equipment, introduction of new processes and improvements in the performance of existing equipment.
* To set and control departmental budgets, spend and priorities.
* To ensure projects are delivered to targets, clear project plans and strategies are in place and all resources are used in the most efficient way.
* To identify new processes, equipment, and facilities relevant to the business needs.
* Encourage a continuous improvement culture within production and drive initiatives through to completion.
Capability (Qualifications, Skills & Experience)
* Engineering qualifications (C&G/BTEC or National Diploma) Educated to degree level, or equivalent in engineering preferred.
* Has a working knowledge of AM / PM maintenance. Experienced at implementing critical KPI’s such as, MTTF (mean time to failure), MTTR (mean time to repair).
* Good project management skills with experience of managing projects.
* Full understanding of tools and techniques for problem solving.
* Ability to produce concise and accurate reports.
* Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and MS project.
* Experience of other software packages such as Auto Cad, Visio and Access would also be advantageous.
* Experienced in an industrial / factory engineering environment, part of which time involved the direct management of people.
* Technical experience in security print processes, or similar, would be an advantage but is not essential.
* Has played a role in the implementation of change within an organisation.
* Worked in an environment where modern manufacturing methods are part of normal working.
* Experience of implementing, driving & developing the use of CMMS
* Demonstrate knowledge of FMEA risk assessments and prioritising maintenance activity in line with RPN ratings or other priority driven methodology.
