Overview

Are you passionate about helping patients on their journey to recovery? Join our dynamic Physiotherapy Department as a Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant. We have full-time and part-time permanent positions available within our inpatient services, supporting specialties including DME, Medicine, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Stroke, and Neurosciences.

As part of our experienced and friendly team, you’ll work closely with patients presenting a wide range of conditions, playing a key role in their functional progression. You’ll receive training and support to develop your skills, managing a delegated caseload and assisting physiotherapists with more complex cases.

Responsibilities

* Assist physiotherapists by delivering joint treatments and creating a safe treatment environment, working both supervised and independently with delegated patient caseloads.
* Manage and progress patient treatment programmes, monitoring patient responses and reporting significant changes to physiotherapists.
* Maintain accurate patient records, ensure cleanliness and safety of equipment and treatment areas, and liaise effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
* Communicate clearly with patients of varying abilities and needs, motivating and involving families to support rehabilitation.
* Participate in ongoing training and competency development, maintaining professional standards and contributing to service improvements.
* Work flexibly to meet service needs, including shifts covering weekdays, evenings, and weekends, with appropriate rostering and unsocial hours pay.


Qualifications

* Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant; training and support to develop your skills, managing a delegated caseload and assisting physiotherapists with more complex cases.
