The Opportunity: Field Service Engineer

The Impact you will have:
1. Attend customer locations to determine the scope of work required, assess and agree with the end user on work priorities, and ensure safe working practices are followed.
2. Coordinate with controllers and customers regarding the expected work, providing clarity on timescales and costs.
3. Identify the root cause of breakdowns promptly and ensure the correct parts are obtained efficiently, involving the Briggs Technical team when necessary.
4. Ensure all work complies with engineering standards and manufacturer specifications.
5. Perform inspections and checks during work to ensure equipment operates satisfactorily and safely before returning it to the customer.
6. Identify any additional work needed on equipment and inform the customer, especially if costs are involved, aiming to maximize potential revenue from damaged equipment.
7. Complete all related job and service documentation accurately, obtaining necessary signatures and customer approval.
What will help you excel in this role:
1. Relevant technical qualification
2. Previous experience in a similar role
3. Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
4. Ability to work independently and under pressure
5. Strong workload management and prioritization skills
6. Understanding customer needs

1. A base salary of up to £36,934 per annum based on a 40-hour workweek
2. Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday – Saturday and 2x on Sunday
