I am currently partnering with an industrial / construction client who provide their services on a global scale, who are looking for a People Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.
You will support a variety of business units, managers and people managers around the organisation on general HR administration tasks, ensuring a high level of efficiency, accuracy and coordination within the People Department.
Salary: Up to £28,000 PA plus benefits. Depending on level of experience.
Based on site 5 days per week in Plymouth.
Be the first point of contact for People related queries for the Paint, Scaffold, Shrink Wrap and Stores teams on site and liaise with the People Manager around any more complex issues.
Process weekly starters and leavers, issuing relevant letters and maintaining this from a People System and filing point of view.
Administer People-related documentation for the Paint, Scaffold, Shrink Wrap and Stores teams, plus overseeing the delivery of new starter packs and contracts of employment, ensuring that documents of personal records, pension, vehicle, life assurance, right to work and equal opportunity are accurately maintained.
Ensure the relevant People & Payroll System is maintained accurately and complies with current legislation.
Maintain employee E-Files accurately.
Action all sickness tracker records for the Paint, Scaffold, Shrink Wrap and Stores teams whilst always maintaining confidentiality, reporting any long-term absences to the People Manager and relevant group manager. Assisting with Long Term Sickness review meetings where needed, including capability in line with Company Policy. Supporting Composite team sickness tracker administration in the absence of the Trainee People Advisor.
Arranging and assisting with note taking of formal and informal meetings such as absence, disciplinary & grievance, producing the relevant outcome letter to the employee, following a full process in line with the Company's Policy & Procedure. Additionally, coaching and guiding the Chairing Managers on best practice in line with legislation and Company Policy.
Support Occupational Health Team on ill health, capability and long term sickness. Identifying and arranging Occupational Health Referrals, and following through with review meetings. Co-ordination of the recruitment process for Devonport, including posting of vacancies, new onboarding of candidates, following the Security Clearance process through to start date, liaising with Morsons recruitment, overseeing the Screening & Vetting process, and running the People section of inductions.
Ensure Quickbase related work is up to date for your teams when necessary, including the inputting of the sickness, holidays, new starters, leavers, and all administration required.
Assist with recruitment and selection on site of weekly and monthly paid positions.
Assist with interviews and issue relevant correspondence in a timely manner.
Provide support with the wider People team to ensure efficient delivery of People Services to the business.
Work alongside the Training Department to book new starts onto relevant mandatory training.
Recruitment and Selection of weekly paid staff: offers of employments issued efficiently, ensuring effective co-ordination of relevant departments, liaising with Morsons.
Assist with ad hoc projects and support the People Manager as and when required.
