Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Education and Training - Woking - SEN - Learning Support - Autism - SEMH - Speech and Language
Do you have a passion for supporting children with Learning Difficulties, including Autism, and Speech, Language & Communication needs?
This specialist built school near Woking is looking for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support children aged 4-17 with moderate to severe learning difficulties.
The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience, network with professionals, and develop your skills in a rewarding environment. Career progression routes include becoming a Special Needs Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or pursuing Child Psychology and Educational Psychology careers.
Children and young people with special educational needs often face challenges such as marginalisation, trauma, family issues, low educational attainment, and stigmatisation. As a SEN TA, you will help provide consistency, safety, and empowerment to help them succeed.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering the curriculum
* Provide behaviour and pastoral support
* Build effective relationships with students
* Meet individual needs through a practical approach
* Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Caring, compassionate, and a good listener
* Work 1:1 and in small groups with students
* Ensure safeguarding of students
* Attend staff meetings and complete CPD
Additional Details:
* Start date ASAP - Woking
* On-site education, training, support, and CPD provided
* Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, term time only
* Salary: £80-£100 per day
* Must have right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
* Must be able to travel to Woking / surrounding areas
