Quantity Surveyor
The Company:
Our client is a specialist flat roofing contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment and new build projects across the public sector, education, and social housing markets. With a growing pipeline of secured works, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and take ownership of multiple live roofing contracts.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and supportive business, managing commercially focused tasks across a portfolio of bitumen felt, hot melt, and liquid roofing projects ranging from £50K to £2M.
Responsibilities:
As a Quantity Surveyor you will manage commercial activities across multiple flat roofing projects, supporting the operations and contracts teams
Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain to ensure project budgets and forecasts are maintained
Support cost planning, procurement, and contract administration from pre-construction through to handover
Measure works and carry out re-measures when required
Assess subcontractor packages, applications, and payment certifications
Ensure that all work complies with contractual obligations and commercial procedures
Provide monthly cost/value reports to commercial leadershipRequirements:
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS in the flat roofing, waterproofing, or external envelope sectors
Excellent numerical, negotiation, and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial documentation
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sitesBenefits:
