Job Description
Role
To undertake examinations at all scene incidents, to locate, develop, preserve, record and gather forensic evidence for use by internal and external customers, in the support of the criminal justice system.
To advise the customer at the scene or at forensic strategy meetings and to prepare reports/statements for external customers.
To carry out recovery of evidence, examinations, test and processes to clearly defined standards (ISO 17025) within the laboratory as instructed.
There will be an engagement day at Cornwall Mount Police Headquarters in Dumfries on Monday 12th May, at 10am till 3pm.. At the engagement day there will be presentations, demonstrations of forensic techniques and Scene Examiners will be present to answer any questions about the role and working in the forensics with SPA.
You should have been resident in the UK for a minimum of three years immediately prior to application for this role.
