Position Summary
We are seeking a technically adept individual to join our Testing Team, providing essential technical, logistical, and laboratory support to our product development and customer technical support groups.
In this role, you will act as the vital link between project leaders, onsite operational teams, and external service providers. You will engage with project leaders to understand their project requirements, develop comprehensive operations plans, and execute them effectively. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects across various segments of our lubricants business, collaborating with project leaders worldwide.
Your responsibilities will include conducting performance testing of prototype products using advanced scientific instruments and testing machines, building and operating testing equipment, evaluating test parts, and reporting results in accordance with established procedures. Maintaining high-quality standards and troubleshooting issues as needed will be crucial. Additionally, you will support technology projects by designing, recommending, and executing experimental programs with guidance from project leaders, and developing testing methodologies utilizing rig test expertise.
What you will be doing:
* Proactively contribute to the high safety standard of the group.
* Own, maintain, and operate rigs and screeners in the lab.
* Diagnose operational problems with test equipment, implement remedial action and propose areas for procedural improvement upholding quality standards.
* Design, recommend and execute experimental programmes with support from project leaders and develop testing methodology using rig test expertise.
* Liaise with external service providers to ensure analytical, bench and engine testing are delivered to a high-quality standard and against established timelines.
* Responsible for equipment updates and lab improvement activities.
* Co-ordinate and ensure completion of discrete work elements; arrange package and oil blends, schedule analytical and performance tests, collate and document data, identify trends and suggest hypotheses.
* Responsible for training colleagues and new starters on equipment that they own.
* Provide flexible support to business-critical activities as required.

Skills & Qualifications
* Strong commitment to safety and quality values
* Established technical competency with a science background
* Lab experience is preferred
* Good time management skills and the ability to meet targets and timelines
* Capability to manage a complex workload across multiple projects
* Excellent communication skills
* Attention to detail and ability to scrutinize, evaluate, and relay complex technical information
