Job Title: Year 2 Teacher - Long-Term Location: Lancaster Start Date: ASAP (or next half term - flexible) Contract: Long-Term Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) About the Role We are working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Lancaster who are seeking a committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys working in Key Stage 1, supporting pupils as they consolidate core literacy and numeracy skills while developing confidence and independence as learners. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 national curriculum Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment that supports both learning and wellbeing Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and the wider school team Support pupils' transition through Key Stage 1 and preparation for KS2 About You The successful candidate will: Hold QTS (ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply) Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience desirable but not essential) Demonstrate strong classroom management with a caring, structured approach Be enthusiastic, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching Be confident in supporting pupils of mixed abilities Why Apply?
