We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer (Robotics/Automation Engineer) for a market leading business within the Automation Industry who provide support across a range of manufacturing clients within the Aerospace and Automotive sectorsto help improve productivity. This is a permanent role that has been created due to continued expansion. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an Automation maintenance based role within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with CNC Machine tools,Beckhoff / Siemens PLCS and FANUC/Kuka/ ABB Robotics would be highly advantageous. This is a Days based role Monday Friday 0830 1730 No Call Out All travel time is paid door to door all addtional hours paid at premium rates - Realistic Earnings up to £50k The role will cover sites mainly in the Midlands / NW but also someacross the UK so a willingness to travel is required. This role would ideally suit a candidate with a maintenance background looking to develop and progress within the controls/ automation industry. Role Description Provide support to client sites across the UK and Ireland. Support Customers automation systems to aid in improving productivity. To support the introduction of new projects on time and within budget constraints Fault finding and rectification of PLCs Beckhoff/ Siemens Experience working with Robotics ABB, Fanuc, Kuka or similar. PLC software and hardware editing,operating and diagnostics Strong knowledge of IT Windows Server Automation of existing plant & equipment, support equipment improvements and new equipment specification. Provide support in installation of new capital equipment. Skills and Qualifications Demonstrable experience working within a maintenance role within a high precision manufacturing environment Candidates must be Time Served in a suitable discipline Strong working knowledge of PLCs ( Beckhoff / Siemens advantageous) Goodworking knowledge of Robotics ( ABB/ Fanuc/ Kuka Advantageous) - Desirable Strong customer service mind set Willing to travel as required to sites in the UK and Ireland.
