Junior Field Service Engineer
This is a great opportunity for a Junior Field Service Engineer to join a specialist rail engineering company providing depot maintenance services across the UK rail network.

Package offered for this Junior Field Service Engineer role:
1. Salary: £32,000 per annum
2. Location: Nationwide
3. Benefits: Overtime available most weeks, on-call rota 1 in 14, with on-call payment, travel, accommodation, and subsistence covered when working away from home, 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Key responsibilities for this Junior Field Service Engineer role:
4. Assist with depot maintenance, servicing, and repairs on electrical and mechanical rail equipment
5. Support senior engineers with troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
6. Complete job documentation accurately using a mobile phone or tablet
7. Maintain excellent communication with clients and the service office
8. Travel to multiple depot locations across the Midlands and South, including working away from home with overnight stays when required
9. Follow all health and safety standards and rail industry compliance procedures
Experience required for this Junior Field Service Engineer role:
10. Practical hands-on experience in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical work (rail experience desirable but not essential)
11. Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
12. Confident using mobile technology for reporting and job management
13. Full UK driving licence
14. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
