What You’ll Be Doing
This role is responsible for driving the implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies to improve efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness across the organisation, with a primary focus on R&D.
* Implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies across the organisation to enhance efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
* Support the mechatronics team in developing and deploying a new data logging system.
* Evaluate R&D’s valve qualification process to identify and integrate Industry 4.0 technologies that drive greater efficiency improvements.
* Assist with the optimization of R&D’s existing equipment to ensure seamless qualification testing.
* Identify specific areas for efficiency improvements within both R&D and production environments.
* Design and develop the infrastructure necessary to implement these efficiency improvements.
* Provide detailed technical documentation and guidance for changes to R&D equipment.
* Source, cost, and procure project-specific components as required.
* Commission and deliver projects in a timely and efficient manner.
* Maintain an in-depth understanding of current R&D systems—including PLCs, data loggers, motors, actuators, temperature cabinets, and other relevant equipment—and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
What You’ll Bring
* Mechatronics engineering qualifications (or similar), Degree level.
* Exposure or experience to any of the following: IEC (phone number removed) programmable languages, Python, HTML, Java Script, CSS, Linux bas systems, sensors (especially pressure), SolidWorks and Auto CAD
* Hands on.

* Can handle high volumes of work / multiple projects.

Hours of work are 40 hours over Monday to Friday, 8:30am till 5pm
