We have a new opportunity to be part of our Finance team in the role of Finance Business Partner – Operations & Technical.
In this role, you will partner with senior technical and operational leaders to provide clear, data-driven financial insights and solutions. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will help unlock cost efficiencies and maximise performance within the constraints of the cost cap. Your expertise will directly support our ambition to consistently be a top team in the FIA Formula One™ Constructors’ Championship.
You will be responsible for:
Business Partnering:
* Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Technical and Operations.
* Leading on financial matters across these departments, becoming a trusted advisor.
* Understanding operational needs and identifying opportunities to drive cost efficiency, savings, and performance.
* Leading month-end processes including variance analysis, forecasts, and insightful commentary.
* Identifying transformation opportunities and leading financial aspects of continuous improvement initiatives.
* Driving improvements to the accuracy of financial data and models, including management accounts and budgeting.
* Supporting the development of business cases, considering headcount, capacity, payback, and cross-functional impact.
* Managing capex processes and working with Stock Control to ensure accurate transactions and timely risk identification.
* Supporting long-term planning by evaluating risks, opportunities, and regulatory or calendar-based factors.
Other Responsibilities:
* Driving process improvements and identifying areas of value-add across finance operations.
* Supporting wider Finance Business Partnering and FP&A teams with ad hoc requests and cross-functional needs.
* Maintaining appropriate records in line with audit and FIA audit requirements.
* Attending and contributing proactively to internal meetings.
* Working professionally and collaboratively within the company’s reporting structure.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financial trends and continuing professional development.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
Qualifications:
* Part qualified (CIMA, AAT, ACCA or equivalent), with demonstrable post-qualification experience.
Experience:
* Proven experience in a business partnering or management accounting role.
* Experience with stock and inventory accounting.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across departments.
* Experience in F1, motorsport, or a manufacturing environment is essential.
* Detail-oriented and commercially minded, with the ability to challenge constructively.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Advanced Excel skills and confidence with financial systems.
* Analytical, with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy.
* Ability to present data clearly and effectively using a variety of tools.
* Problem-solving mindset and ability to make sound decisions.
* Enthusiastic and adaptable with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
* Committed to high standards and continuous improvement.
* Clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety standards.
This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
