* Act as a patient advocate throughout the journey in theatre, demonstrating compassion, empathy and respect.

About the Trust and Environment

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is one of the largest NHS trusts in the West Midlands providing primary, acute and community services. We are proud of the diversity of our staff and the communities we serve and strive to fulfil our values, improve quality of care for patients, and solve healthcare problems of tomorrow. We are committed to becoming a learning organisation and leader in delivering compassionate care for our patients.

Awards and Flexible Working

We have been rated as "Good" by CQC and have received several awards, including The Nursing Times Best Diversity and Inclusion Practice and Best UK Employer of the Year for Nursing Staff in 2020. The Trust supports flexible working arrangements and will consider reasonable requests to suit individual needs alongside service requirements.

Flexible Working - We are committed to supporting work-life balance and encouraging applications from all applicants. Discuss individual circumstances with the Recruiting Manager as part of the on-boarding process.

Care Areas

There are three distinctive areas of care in theatre: scrub, anaesthetics and recovery. We encourage you to become proficient in all areas; if a particular area suits your style of working, we will support you to excel in it. All we ask is for a dedicated team member who has the enthusiasm to learn. Patient care and safety are at the centre of what we do, so you’ll be the patient’s advocate throughout their journey in theatre. This role requires someone who is compassionate, empathetic and respectful and who will be supported to gain confidence to speak up when needed.
