Job Description for the Finance Assistant role
* As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts for a wide range of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
* Assisting in the planning and execution of audits
* Preparing management accounts and VAT returns
* As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and build strong working relationships
* Supporting senior team members with ad hoc assignments as needed
* Training junior members of the team as needed.
* Ensuring all work complies with relevant regulatory and professional standards
* To support operational budgets and targets
Qualifications and candidate profile
For the Finance Assistant role, it would be good to see candidates with the following:
* Experience working in an accountancy practice is essential for the role
* Audit experience would be ideal; however, this is not essential
* Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience
* Strong understanding of year-end accounts preparation and audit procedures
* Experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts
* Confident working directly with clients and managing deadlines
* Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Office
Hours
Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Salary
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 Per Annum
