Housing Manager - Home Ownership - Income
East Coast and Yorkshire (Mercury House, County Durham)
Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hpw), typically 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
Starting salary £32,000, plus benefits including Health cash plan
About the Role
This is a great opportunity for a Housing Manager to join Home Group's housing team in the East Coast & Yorkshire region. You will be the face-to-face support for our communities, focusing on income collection and community sustainability. Experience as a Housing Manager, Leasehold Manager, or in income collection in another sector is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage arrears cases for general needs, shared ownership, and leasehold customers, including service charge accounts and payments.
2. Provide advice on service charges and homeownership queries.
3. Collaborate with finance teams for account reconciliation.
4. Lead campaigns to reduce arrears and work proactively with customers.
5. Support legal processes related to rent arrears and court cases.
Candidate Criteria
1. Experience in income protection and arrears management, including legal actions.
2. Ability to manage service charge budgets and reconciliations.
3. Understanding of different tenures and housing law.
4. Knowledge of housing management, Universal Credit, and housing benefits.
