We have an exciting new opportunity for new Sessional Youth Workers to join our teams in Edinburgh and Glasgow as we continue our Green Futures programme, funded by CashBack for Communities. This programme has a strong environmental focus, encouraging participants to learn about their environment and positive climate action, explore what a Just Transition looks like for them, develop key employability skills and engage more in their local community. As a Sessional Youth Worker, you will: Support the development of external referral networks in your area to ensure that recruitment for Venture Trust employability programmes and services runs efficiently Support the planning of and lead on the delivery of employability programmes and progression opportunities for participants, specifically on our new Green Futures programme. Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build positive, meaningful relationships with a diverse range of people Have a good understanding of how to work alongside people with lived experience of trauma, the justice system, mental health conditions, addictions and neurodiversity Deliver innovative and engaging high quality employability content to Venture Trust clients that is tailored to meet agreed learning outcomes Maintain strong relationships with delivery and referral partners to ensure efficient and effective service delivery Provide ongoing pastoral support to identify and remove barriers to employment and broker employability opportunities where possible For the full job description of this role, please click here.
