Treasury Accountant

This is a key role within a growing finance team, offering the opportunity to lead on medium-term financial strategy, budget setting, and treasury management. You will provide strategic insights across the organisation, supporting informed decision making and helping shape long-term financial priorities.
What you’ll do
1. Provide leadership across Financial Planning and Treasury Management, ensuring clarity of direction, effective communication, and staff development.
2. Act as the primary expert on financial planning and treasury management, advising senior finance leaders including the Finance Director.
3. Lead the development and maintenance of medium-term financial strategy, ensuring financial models reflect organisational priorities and changes in national policy.
4. Coordinate the annual budget-setting process, drafting relevant reports for senior leadership.
5. Oversee forecasting and reporting of key balance sheet items to support prudent financial decision making.
6. Provide specialist financial planning advice to budget holders and other finance teams to support major business cases and modelling.
7. Manage a team of direct and indirect reports, offering development and training opportunities.
What you’ll need
8. Full accountancy qualification.
9. Strong understanding of treasury and cash management.
10. Experience or a strong desire to develop expertise in financial planning within a large and complex organisation.
11. Customer-focused approach with the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
12. Experience working in a complex finance environment.
