About the role
We are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this fast-paced retail environment, no two days are the same.
You will play a vital role in daily store operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store's appearance.
Customer focus is at the core of our service, so you will be encouraged to seek continuous improvement through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, our store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural, great service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Applying training to ensure safety at all times.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct payment.
* Maintaining safety by following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Adhering to the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or checkout interventions, explaining actions to customers.
* Keeping the store tidy and organized, ensuring aisles are clear.
* Occasionally managing shifts in the absence of your Shift Leader or Store Manager.
* Following all training to ensure safety and legality.
* If applicable, managing day-to-day operations of the Post Office, including passing required background checks.
