Stafford’s newly refreshed Gatehouse Theatre is a real jewel in the crown of the county town. As a semi-producing venue, we’re passionate about creativity and making great theatre happen — from our fantastic Youth Theatre programme to a wide range of high-quality touring productions. We’re looking forward to welcoming someone who’ll become an important part of our team and help us keep delivering brilliant experiences for our audiences.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Stage Technician with strong all-round technical skills to join our friendly, supportive team. The theatre hosts a lively year-round programme of drama, music and comedy, as well as producing our own in-house shows, including Youth Theatre productions and our ever-popular pantomime.
Working alongside the rest of the technical team, you’ll play a key role in delivering stage requirements for all productions, events and activities in the main theatre, the MET Studio, and at external venues. You’ll need solid staging experience and confidence with theatre lighting, ETC desk programming, while a working knowledge of sound installation and operation would be a bonus.
Above all, this role is about helping us provide a warm welcome and a high standard of technical support to visiting companies, performers and all users of the venue, as well as supporting other events managed by Freedom Leisure.
In the event that a high volume of suitable applications are received, the post may close prior to the specified closing date. Please apply as soon as possible if interested.
