Health & Safety Advisor - Construction Industry
About the Role:
As the Area Safety Advisor, you'll play a critical role in supporting management and site teams with expert health and safety guidance. You’ll report directly to the Managing Director and be a visible presence across sites, conducting inspections, delivering training, and advising on safety compliance and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Submit quarterly safety reports to senior management
* Advise on Health & Safety legislation and ensure regulatory compliance
* Investigate accidents and report findings with preventive recommendations
* Conduct site audits and random inspections with formal reports
* Deliver safety inductions and training sessions
* Maintain accident and incident records, ensuring accurate data for reporting
* Monitor lifting equipment, scaffolding, plant safety, and inspection documentation
* Liaise with industry bodies, safety committees, and HSE inspectors
* Provide guidance on risk assessments, method statements, and safety policies
Key experiecne and qualifications:
* NEBOSH qualification (essential)
* CSCS Card
* Proven Health & Safety experience in the construction/building industry
* Excellent knowledge of UK H&S regulations
* Ability to work independently across multiple locations
