Your Role as Deputy SENCO:
🔹 Support the SENCO in leading and managing the school’s SEN provision.
🔹 Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure effective SEN support.
🔹 Assist in the creation, implementation, and monitoring of Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs).
🔹 Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices in inclusive teaching and SEN support.
🔹 Support in identifying students with SEN and coordinating interventions to meet their individual needs.
🔹 Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
🔹 Take an active role in assessments, progress tracking, and data analysis to drive student success.
Who We’re Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience supporting students with SEN.
✅ Previous experience in a SENCO, Deputy SENCO, or SEN leadership role (or strong SEN experience as a teacher).
✅ A strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
✅ Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
✅ A proactive, compassionate, and adaptable approach to SEN support.
✅ NASENCO qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
