We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This role is ideal for someone with a naturally nurturing, playful personality who enjoys building strong, trusting relationships with children and celebrating even the smallest achievements. Key Responsibilities Support students with PMLD in their daily learning, development, and wellbeing Help create a warm, engaging, and playful learning environment Assist in delivering sensory-based and interactive activities tailored to individual needs Support communication through gestures, sensory tools, and assistive methods Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support individual education plans Provide personal care where required, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene support Ensure students feel safe, respected, and encouraged throughout the school day The Ideal Candidate Will: Have a kind, patient, and nurturing nature Bring energy, creativity, and playfulness to support engagement and learning Be comfortable providing personal care and supporting students with complex physical needs Be attentive, empathetic, and able to respond to non-verbal communication Work well as part of a supportive team Remain calm, positive, and adaptable in a busy school environment Experience Experience working with children or individuals with additional needs is essential Experience with PMLD and complex needs is advantageous All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
