Cardiac Procedural Registered Nurse II - 2104
The registered professional nurse is responsible for utilizing job skills to effectively carry out the nursing process: including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, documentation, and time management. She/he is responsible for quality communication, teamwork, and professionalism. Also, she/he directs, coordinates, and implements patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives, and activities of other health team personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Job Responsibilities
The RN II is responsible for the care of their assigned patient population. Responsibilities include completing yearly mandatory competencies, unit-specific competencies, and Professional Practice Ladder requirements such as assuming Charge Nurse responsibilities, participating in PI activities, and contributing to department initiatives. The RN II also communicates with the Director/Designee, participates in peer reviews, and develops educational materials for staff and patients.
Qualifications
* Associates Degree in Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN, or ADN) required
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience
Minimum of 1872 hours (or 936 hours with a BSN) of RN experience required, along with a performance evaluation.
Licensure & Certifications
* RN License required
* BLS Certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) required
* Relevant Specialty Certification preferred
Additional Requirements
Must hold or be eligible for licensure in Virginia, with multi-state or single-state license as applicable. New hires must obtain AHA certification before orientation completion.
