Come and join our team. If you are passionate about cooking and have a good work ethic, we would love to hear from you because our self‑motivated and dedicated team requires a Catering Assistant.
You will have the opportunity to work in a busy and exciting environment, assisting our cook in preparing nutritious and appetising meals whilst ensuring compliance with all aspects of food hygiene and health and safety. Other duties include setting up and clearing tables and general cleaning duties.
This post is for 10 hours per week (2 hours per day). Working hours are Monday to Friday, term time only (38 weeks), ideal to fit around family commitments and other roles we offer. We offer an 'annualised' pay scheme so that staff who work term time receive pay over 52 weeks.
Required skills and experience
 * The ability to build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
 * Knowledge of basic food safety. This would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.
 * Good communication and people skills.
 * The ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
You will need:
 * A positive attitude and the willingness to learn new skills.
 * Flexibility and the willingness to assist with other catering duties.

DBS
An enhanced DBS check with barred list disclosure will be requested. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk.
Welsh language
Level 2 – basic conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
