If you are a motivated, highly skilled, and experienced art psychotherapist ready to advance your career while working as part of a multidisciplinary team, please read on...
We have seven Steps to Recovery units and an Intensive Community Rehabilitation Team located across various sites in the city. Each offers a range of mental health rehabilitation services and is committed to supporting people with complex care needs.
The successful candidate will work across two sites, facilitating art therapy within three of our Complex Care units—Endeavour Court, Erdington, and Dan Mooney and David Bromley House located on the same site in Knowle, Solihull. This autonomous role requires developing the art psychotherapy resource within these units, liaising with the MDT, and supporting effective psychological care delivery.
You will be welcomed into a well-established and supportive group of psychological practitioners working across Steps to Recovery and Assertive Outreach Services. Your responsibilities include developing art psychotherapy referral pathways, facilitating individual and group interventions, and providing consultation to clinical staff. You will also supervise Band 6 and 7 art psychotherapists and receive supervision from an experienced art psychotherapist. Access to training and development opportunities will support your career growth within a dynamic team.
As part of the Trust, you will join a large community of Arts Psychotherapists working in various settings, including Secure Care, Offender Health, Early Intervention Services, and others. This network provides support, mentoring, and professional leadership.
Your clinical duties include conducting highly specialist psychological assessments and providing individual and group art psychotherapy interventions. You will support the dissemination of evidence-informed psychological practices, manage your clinical caseload, organize group sessions, and undertake governance, audit, and project activities.
We encourage you to submit your application promptly, as the post may close early if sufficient applications are received.
