Description Salary £25,989 - £28,142 Per Annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 Hours Per Week | Early Help - Preston International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship. The full-time Neighbourhood Family Support Worker role involves supporting children and families to thrive, delivering engaging group sessions and welcoming drop‑in support across local the Preston neighbourhood centres. You’ll lead inspiring informal education, prevention and early‑intervention activities for families who need it most. Helping to remove barriers to children’s development and family progress. Working in community venues and alongside brilliant partner organisations, you’ll empower parents, build resilience, and help children reach their full potential. Post holders will primarily deliver group work and drop in support services within identified neighbourhood centre venues. They may also support the delivery of group work in other community settings or through partnership working with external agencies, as required. They will provide high quality informal education, prevention, and early intervention activities aimed at improving outcomes for children and families. Group work will be targeted toward those most in need of support and will focus on addressing identified needs that present barriers to children’s development and family progress. Group workers will work to strengthen parental capacity to promote children’s welfare and enhance children’s resilience. Through the provision of relevant information, guidance, and support, group work will enable parents to make informed decisions for their families and contribute positively to children achieving their full potential.
