Key Responsibilities
As Head of AI Governance, you’ll:
* Lead the development and implementation of Bupa’s Responsible AI Framework, embedding ethical principles and best practices into our AI strategy.
* Chair the High-Risk AI Committee, overseeing the assessment and management of high-risk AI projects.
* Design and implement risk management strategies for AI activities, ensuring alignment with Bupa’s broader risk frameworks.
* Monitor and respond to regulatory developments, including GDPR, the EU AI Act, and other emerging standards.
* Establish and regularly review ethical guidelines for AI development and deployment.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data governance managers and AI specialists, to ensure consistent and responsible AI practices across the business.
* Develop scalable tools, processes and methodologies to support the growth of AI capabilities while maintaining strong governance.

* Proven experience in AI governance, risk management, and ethical AI practices.
* A strong understanding of AI technologies, frameworks, and the evolving regulatory landscape.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills – you’ll be confident engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
* Experience developing and implementing governance frameworks and policies.
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence across a complex organisation.
