Overview of role
The Planner supports the Senior Planner in managing logistics and distribution activities within a specific geographical area. This role focuses on executing daily vehicle planning, stock availability checks, and order fulfilment.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist in planning and executing vehicle movements and deliveries.
* Monitor stock levels and coordinate internal transfers.
* Ensure driver competency and training records are maintained, up to date, and aligned with operational and compliance standards.
* Maintain accurate records and support FIAS compliance.
* Communicate with hauliers and internal teams to resolve delivery issues.
* Support the Senior Planner in achieving operational goals.
* Collaborate with Customer Service Specialists on Irish bulk order input and speciality product distribution.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Any other duties as reasonably required.
Qualifications and skills
* Experience in logistics or distribution support.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* High level of numerical understanding.
* Proficiency in Excel and IT systems.
* A-level education or equivalent.
* Full UK driving licence.
This is a full time permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (with some flexibility with working hours).
