Support Worker, Flexible Hours, £17.50 per hour Burgfield / Thatcham / Reading Role Overview We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Support Worker to join our team, providing care and support to individuals with autism and mental health challenges in a home-based environment. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and well-being, working flexibly to meet the needs of our service users, including part-time, weekends, and ad hoc shifts. Key Responsibilities Provide person-centred support to individuals with autism and mental health challenges, enabling them to live independently in their own homes Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management, promoting independence and self-esteem Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and carers, ensuring a holistic approach to care and support Support service users to access community-based activities and services, promoting social inclusion and participation Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the care team Required Skills & Experience Experience in caregiving or a related field, with a patient and encouraging approach Understanding of autism and mental health challenges, with a commitment to providing person-centred support Valid driver’s license, with ability to travel to service users’ homes and community-based activities Flexible and empathetic, with ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Comfortable working in a home-based environment, with ability to support independence and dignity Benefits Competitive hourly rate of £17.50 per hour Flexible working hours, including part-time, weekends, and ad hoc shifts Opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals with autism and mental health challenges Collaborative and supportive team environment About the Company Completely Care is a specialist recruitment agency supporting the health & social care, education, and childcare sectors.
